If STF Aurora Sky Station must be closed for safety reasons due to weather conditions, such as strong winds or extreme cold, the experience will instead be based in our Lavvu (traditional wooden Sámi hut) located in Abisko National Park. Weather conditions in the park are generally less severe than on the mountain, while the opportunities to see the Northern Lights remain just as good.
The decision regarding the location of the evening’s experience will be made on the day of the event, and all affected guests will be notified accordingly.
When booking any of our STF Aurora Sky Station experiences, please note that we cannot guarantee sightings of the Northern Lights, as this is a natural phenomenon. However, if you stay with us in Abisko, your chances of seeing the Northern Lights are excellent thanks to the unique cloud conditions that characterize the area, often referred to as the “Blue Hole of Abisko”.
Bookings for any STF Aurora Sky Station experience become binding once the cancellation policy takes effect. No refunds will be issued if the chairlift is unable to operate and the experience is instead held in the Lavvu.
