About the accommodation

Welcome to Axmar Bruk, where sea, nature and a historic mill environment meet. A cultural reserve with lots to discover. Axmar Bruksbod B&B, offers family-friendly and homely accommodation, an escape from everyday life and a base for many activities.

Nature and cultural experiences, café, farm shop, gallery, restaurant, accommodation, storytelling evenings, concerts, kayak rental, markets. There is a lot to do and discover at Axmar Bruk. The foundry at Axmar streams was established as early as 1671. Today, 350 years later, Axmar Bruk is the only cultural reserve in Gävle Municipality. Cycle through beautiful nature reserves, stroll in the English park, or hike on paths in the woods or along the sea.

Our cozy Bed & Breakfast is right next to the romantic English park. When staying with us, you enter a former workers’ home from 1843. Sleep well in comfortable beds and enjoy our breakfast with freshly baked organic bread. We are open from March to December and offer seven homely and individually decorated rooms. If you want to experience something out of the ordinary, in summer you can stay in Järn-Brita’s hut, a work of art in the English Park.

We offer a cozy and quiet environment where you can take a break from everyday life and experience our beautiful surroundings. We are passionate about our village and its development. We are also passionate about locally produced food, and in our farm shop you will find both home-made products from the forests and gardens as well as honey from our own apiary.

    We are located along the coast, a short distance from the E4 between Gävle and Hudriksvall. If arriving by car, turn off at Axmartavlan towards Axmarby and follow the signs to Axmar Bruk. At the foundry, follow the sign to the B&B and farm shop.
