Herrgård de luxe is the venerable Osaby Manor in a new, welcoming and relaxed rendition. A vibrant meeting place where the focus is on food, drink, art and music. A still secret oasis in a setting that captures the essence of Småland; a valuable piece of cultural heritage and a manor that dates back to the Middle Ages, situated just outside Växjö. The nature reserve starts just 10 metres from the manor house and the two four-kilometre hiking trails are lined with oaks, meadows and lakes. Winding small roads offer beautiful day trips for the cyclist who either brings their own bike or rents a vintage bike here. One kilometre from Herrgård de luxe there is a secret bathing spot that has both a sandy beach and a jetty. Lake Åsnen with its national park is less than 10 kilometres away.
 
Here you can choose between staying privately in a family room in the beautiful and carefully renovated coachman’s house from 1805 or in one of the hotel rooms in the grand manor house. In spring, summer and autumn, the café in the corps de logi is open at weekends. Antique display cases are filled with delicious biscuits, pies, cakes and sandwiches, and the kitchen offers a small menu of lovingly prepared dishes. These are served with natural wines, local beers and alcohol-free goodies. The food prepared here is organic, locally produced and can be enjoyed on the glassed-in veranda, in the dining room or in the lush garden.
 
You can rent the entire coachman’s house or the manor for a weekend, book a colourful conference, arrange a gala banquet in the magnificent function rooms, invite people to a soup meal in the arbour, get married, enjoy a concert and find antique and vintage bargains at Violas Vind or Kalles Källare.
 
Regardless of the reason for your visit, we want to offer somewhat of a cinematic sensation. Where other businesses in historical environments insist on modernising, we try to instead keep that feeling throughout. At our place, you can sit in the Törne sisters’ old chairs, enjoy food on antique plates, listen to music from old radios, read the news in newspapers at breakfast, take a bath in a cast iron bathtub and write in the guestbook on the professor’s old typewriter. All of our rooms have real plants and are free from screens. Herrgård de luxe is a place you visit to soothe the soul and the senses.
