About the accommodation

Close to the archipelago but still close to the city. Take the ferry from central Stockholm and disembark at the Lillsved jetty one hour later. The hostel lies in an area of great natural beauty and a harmonic manor house.

You find us on a promontory in northern Värmdölandet, just 50 minutes from the bustling city life of Stockholm. We are right in the centre of the Stockholm archipelago, close to the big city. Here awaits a varied archipelago landscape surrounding the facility with bays, wonderful cultivated and grazed fields, silent forests of great depth, and loads of sea, cliffs and beaches.
 
Accommodation
During the summer it is possible to book rooms with showers and toilets along the corridor. We have five rooms accessible for people with disabilities, and some of our rooms are for people travelling with pets. We have ample space for self-catering, and pleasant socialising in our various kitchens and TV rooms.
 
The cosy Sjöstugan café is open during the summer. Lillsved restaurant, with space for 150 guests, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner to groups who book in advance by telephone or e-mail.
 
To see and do
Many of our guests come simply to relax, enjoy the silence and the salt-encrusted archipelago. You are equally welcome if you want to exploit the opportunities that our wonderful surroundings provide for exercise, both gentle and intense.
 
We have: canoes and bikes for hire. Tennis, boule and multigolf can be booked. Outdoor exercise equipment, beach volleyball. Jogging trails and rambling trails of several lengths. You can swim in the sea, go canoeing, dive or fish. Take the archipelago ferry to and from the Lillsved jetty. Keramiskt centrum – the Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum with the early work manufactured by AB Gustavsberg – is 20 km from the hostel. Vaxholm is 10 km away, and Stockholm 40 km.
