STF Trillin Hostel Loftahammar

The small village of Loftahammar is located on a small peninsula in north-eastern Småland, just north of Västervik. Here you encounter a genuine archipelago setting with cliff swimming, archipelago boats and beautiful nature. Loftahammar is the perfect base for exploring Tjust’s beautiful and unique archipelago with nearly 5,000 islands and islets. Take the archipelago boats to idyllic Hasselö or rent a kayak and head out on an adventure. Explore the beautiful hiking trails, including STF Signature trail, in the area or rent a bike to discover the surrounding landscape. Visit the mill and the local heritage museum in Aleglo. Follow the scenic road to Stora Askö’s old fishing village, Flatvarp, and take the opportunity to swim from the cliffs. Within a short distance from Loftahammar you can reach Astrid Lindgrens Värld in Vimmerby and the charming coastal town of Västervik. Loftahammar is more than a thriving summer destination – well worth discovering during the rest of the year when calm and tranquillity prevail.

Trillin vandrarhem is located in the heart of the village and is housed in two beautiful older wooden buildings situated close to each other. Here you will find charming and personal rooms, both with private bathrooms and with shared facilities, as well as well-equipped guest kitchens and social spaces. Both houses are surrounded by pleasant gardens. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed – perfect for both short stays and longer visits.
