About the accommodation

The landscape is characterised by tundra with a peculiar flora thanks to the cold and barren climate. Here, you can hike along vast boulder ridges close to extremely steep mountain peaks on the Norwegian side.
If you walk up the mountain Pältsan you might be forunate enough to find the Laestadius poppy, a botanical rarity worth seeing.
The area is very rich in bird life, in particular passerines and wading birds. Many lakes and watercourses in the area are rich in fish.

From Pältsan, you can see the midnight sun from mid-May to the end of July.

This is how it works in a mountain cabin
Our mountain cabins offer a simple and authentic stay in multi-bedded rooms with self catering. The rooms are different sizes with bunk beds and usually heated by gas stoves. On site you will be greeted by a cabin manager. As a guest you chop wood, fetch water from the stream or lake, wash up and clean up after youself.
