Abisko – Hike to Trollsjön

An exhilarating hike you’ll never forget. Great forces have been at work on Kärkevagge, creating high cliffs, boulder fields and delta formations. This is a fairytale landscape with fields of colorful alpine flowers – a paradise for hikers.

Our route takes us through a beautiful birch forest and continues up over bare areas of primary rock, reminding you of pre-historic ages. Then we come to the majestic valley called Kärkevagge. The path meanders over eroded rock features formed by the most recent ice age. Arriving at Geargejávri, better known as Trollsjön, you’ll marvel at the lake which glitters like fire in the sun.

Lunch tastes really good after our final ascent. Relax for a while, take a dip, or just stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere before we return along the outflow of this enchanting lake.
