STF Skepparpsgården Haväng

STF Skepparpsgården Haväng is located beside miles of sandy beaches and just steps from some of Skåne’s most beautiful hiking trails. Set on the edge of the rolling hills of Brösarp, with the long beaches of Hanö Bay to the north and Stenshuvud National Park to the south, the surrounding landscape is known for its open heathlands, lush green pastures, and rich flora and fauna. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures or peaceful relaxation, this is the perfect place. Enjoy yoga or meditation, savour a coffee in the garden, or explore the many hiking, cycling, and running trails nearby.

Stay in a traditional four-winged half-timbered farmhouse where simple, comfortable accommodation is combined with a welcoming atmosphere of community, sustainability, and care. Dating back to the early 19th century, the farm has been a much-loved hostel since 1952. It was officially inaugurated by Dag Hammarskjöld, who returned to spend a few days here every summer.

Originally offering separate dormitories for men and women, the hostel today features 12 private rooms of various sizes with a total of 46 beds. Toilets are located in one wing of the main building, while showers are available in a separate building just a few metres from the west wing. Dogs are welcome in four of the twelve rooms. Out of consideration for other guests, pets are not allowed in the guest kitchen or dining rooms. More information about the rooms can be found under Our Rooms.

The guest kitchen is small but well equipped and seats around 15 guests, with additional outdoor seating available. The reception also has a small shop selling basic dry goods such as pasta, tea, coffee, canned food, organic toiletries, locally produced honey, and handmade crafts.

During the season, a carefully prepared breakfast buffet is available by pre-booking. Enjoy freshly baked bread, locally produced eggs, a selection of toppings, homemade muesli, homemade jam, organic dairy products, coffee, and tea.

The hostel is located 3 km from Ravlunda Kyrkan bus stop, served by Skånetrafiken bus 3, which runs regularly between Kristianstad and Simrishamn. From the bus stop, you can choose between two scenic walks to the hostel. Follow Verkaåvägen, a paved country road passing Skepparp Vineyard and Haväng Lamb Farm, or take Sandvägen, which leads past the small open-air museum Lindgrens Länga before joining the yellow-marked Backaleden Trail. Both routes take around 30–40 minutes and offer beautiful natural scenery and cultural heritage along the way.

A delicious breakfast can always be added to your stay, but it must be booked either when making your reservation or no later than two days before arrival. This helps us reduce food waste and operate more sustainably. Guests arriving by public transport, on foot, or by bicycle can book our discounted Climate Bonus Breakfast. Check-in is available between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. If you expect to arrive after 6:00 pm, please contact us in advance. If you would like to arrange an earlier or later check-in or check-out, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Please note that on most weekends we can only accept bookings of at least two nights.
