About the accommodation

Wallby Säteri is a hotel with roots in the 14th century, set in Skirö in the Småland highlands. Expect gravel paths, red cottages and shady linden trees, with Lake Skirösjön, a wood-fired sauna and hiking trails just around the corner.

Wallby Säteri is located in Skirö, about 23 km from Vetlanda, surrounded by forests, meadows and lakes. The countryside invites you to wonderful nature experiences such as mushroom and berry picking, walks, bike rides and relaxing in the hammock. The surrounding area offers plenty of lovely excursions and cultural experiences.

The individually decorated hotel rooms are located in cottages, several of which have their own veranda where you can enjoy the first rays of morning sun. The main building offers a rustic, cosy and welcoming atmosphere, and serves well-prepared food with strong local roots.

Just below the hotel lies Lake Skirösjön, with a dock, a wood-fired sauna, rowing boats and canoes.

Wallby Säteri is run with warmth, heart and genuine Småland hospitality by the Nyman family. It is a place to unwind and feel at home, whether you are travelling as a couple, with family, relatives, friends or colleagues.

Wallby Säteri is located about 23 km outside Vetlanda in Småland.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Take the train or bus to Vetlanda. You can reach Vetlanda Travel Centre via Nässjö Central Station, and regional buses run to Vetlanda from several towns in the region via Jönköpings Länstrafik (JLT).

As the manor is located in the countryside in Skirö, there is no direct bus for the final stretch. A convenient option is to book a local taxi from Vetlanda Travel Centre or book demand-responsive public transport (närtrafik) for the last part of the journey. Please note that this must be booked well in advance. Contact Jönköpings Länstrafik (JLT) for information and booking.

CAR
If you are travelling by car, the hotel is easy to reach from any of the major national roads. Free parking and charging stations (for a fee) are available on site.
