Welcome to Wij Trädgårdar, a vibrant oasis in the deep forests of Gästrikland, just north of Gävle. The historic estate of Wij has offered cultural life for several hundred years, and Wij Trädgårdar has become an attractive destination for visitors from around the world. The ecological garden park is alive with exploration and curiosity. Artistic expressions in the form of crafts, metalwork, and similar features add another dimension to the experience. 

Adjacent to the garden park is the beautiful Wij Trädgårdskök, featuring lovingly renovated rooms. Here, you can stay comfortably and enjoy free entry to the garden park.

On the lower level of Wij Trädgårdskök, lunch is served year-round. Meals are largely based on what is grown and harvested in the gardens, with flowers and herbs adding extra flair to the dishes. In the garden café, also located within the gardens, you can enjoy coffee and baked treats that are true works of art.

Wij Trädgårdar is an experience, and around it, a wealth of nature and cultural experiences await throughout the year. Wij Trädgårdar is also the perfect oasis for a creative conference or for smaller groups looking to enjoy tranquility and beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and an elegant estate atmosphere. The historic estate now features modern conference rooms, and courses, themed days, and events are regularly organized for visitors to participate in. In the autumn, the annual harvest festival takes place.

    Travel options

    By train or bus 
    The train takes 25 minutes from Gävle and about 2 hours from Stockholm. There is one train per hour to and from Ockelbo on weekdays. The bus takes approximately 25 minutes from Sandviken. 

    By car  
    You can easily reach Ockelbo by car. From the E4 highway, take the exit at Hagsta onto road 303. In Ockelbo, turn left at the church and follow the signs to Wij Trädgårdar. For those traveling by electric car, there is a charging station with 22 kWh available in the visitor parking at Wij Trädgårdar.
