STF Undersvik is located in the heart of Hälsingland’s agricultural landscape, close to river, forest, and mountains. The location next to the Ljusnan river is stunning, and the proximity to Järvsö and Orbaden offers a variety of cultural and outdoor activities.

At Undersvik hotel and hostel you’re surrounded by meadows and water, with easy access to cycling, skiing, fishing, hiking, swimming, and paddling. Discover the Hälsingland farmhouses and local flax spinning mill or simply enjoy the high-quality food served right on site. Unwind by the fire or take a slow walk in peaceful surroundings.

At Undersviks Matsal, the kitchen follows the seasons and serves simple yet well-crafted meals with clean flavors. The inspiration comes from traditional craftsmanship and a deep commitment to sustainability. The basic idea is to use a little less but better-quality meat and fish, and to focus on vegetables. Swedish and organic ingredients are used as far as possible.

The accommodation includes five buildings and offers a total of 133 beds, ranging from double rooms with private bathrooms to family and multi-bed rooms, and even the option to rent your own house with a sauna. There are several conference rooms for 4 to 100 people, as well as shared spaces, a large veranda, playground, football and volleyball fields, a barbecue area, and a lovely beach within walking distance.

    Travel information
    SJ runs direct trains from Linköping via Stockholm to Vallsta and Järvsö. From there, you can be picked up by our free transfer service. Please contact us in advance to book.

    You can also travel by local bus. Samtrafiken’s Resrobot.se (opens in new tab) is a useful tool for planning your trip. Search from your departure point to the stop “Undersvik kyrka (Bollnäs kn),” which is only 100 meters from the accommodation, or “Undersvik Södra,” a 15–20-minute walk away.

    Turn off road 83 onto Karsjövägen. Free parking is available next to the accommodation.
    If you need to charge your car, we have six charging stations.

    With us you can holiday with a clear conscience. We work actively to ensure that our whole business is sustainable – from how we work together with local businesses, producers and personnel from the countryside, to our environmentally friendly electricity supply.  

    Sustainability and reuse are always the buzz words and goals during our renovation. We always strive to make as small an impact as possible on the nature around us, to preserve what is there. Fix it, rather than buying new.   

    We are proud to have made the sustainability pledge, which means that we follow STF’s sustainability policy in terms of social, economic and environmental sustainability.  

    Some examples of our green investments
    • Electricity – the power for our accommodation comes from renewable energy sources.  
    • Food – when you eat with us, you can be sure that our staples are KRAV-labeled or organic ingredients.   
    • We use environmentally friendly cleaning agents as much as possible.  
    • We have water-saving flushing taps, showers and toilets wherever possible.  
    • We reuse our interior as much as possible.  
    • We offer charging posts for electric cars in the farm’s parking lot. 

    How you can contribute as a guest  for green investments
    • Choose an environmentally friendly way to travel to significantly reduce the emissions from your holiday. You can get all the way here by public transport!  
    • Choose environmentally friendly food. Support the local community by eating locally produced food and shopping with our neighbors in the area.
