About the accommodation

Vårdnäs Stiftsgård is located just south of Linköping. Nestled in the beautiful nature of eastern Götaland, surrounded by lakes and the Kinda canal, this is a perfect venue for meetings, rest, natural experiences and adventures.

The pace is different here, in the middle of the beautiful lake landscape, only half an hour south of Linköping. Vårdnäs Stiftsgård is more than just a hotel with a restaurant and conference center – it is a place for meetings, rest, natural adventures and good food. The nature is magical and offers a number of nature reserves with untouched primeval forest, Gustav Vasa’s oak landscape, long and exciting footbridges in the “tropics of eastern Götaland”, the Kinda canal and numerous lakes. The area is perfect for those who want to explore hiking in eastern Götaland. Roam freely on small paths surrounded by beautiful nature reserves, or plan your hike along the terrain-friendly hiking trails such as Östgötaleden.
 
Here you stay comfortably, with nature and tranquility just outside your window. During lunch and breakfast you can enjoy a delicious cooked meal in a relaxing environment, with the Kinda Canal and Lake Stora Rängen just outside your window.
 
The staff here at Vårdnäs have a common vision of giving both our guests and ourselves a better day – every day. We look at our business from an ecological perspective, always searching for new ways to reduce the burden on our amazing world – after all, Earth’s resources are famously limited.

    Vårdnäs Stiftsgård is located 27 kilometers south of Linköping. Linköping is easily reached by train from different parts of the country. Landsortsbuss 566 departs from Linköping travel center. The nearest bus stop is Vårdnäs vägkors, about 1.2 km from us (signposted).

    If you travel by car, we are located along Road 23/34, easily reached by the E4, whether from north or south.
     
    Or why not come by sea! In summer, a great option is to take the boat to Vårdnäs. The canal boat M/S Kind departs from Linköping, in traffic on the Linköping-Rimforsa section.
