Food & drinks
Here at Blåhammaren the focus is on food . We cook almost everything from scratch and work hard to reduce waste and environmental impact.
Breakfast
Our breakfast is served as a buffet from 7:00–9:00. No pre-bookings. The breakfast consists of Porridge, sour milk, home-baked bread, eggs. A large part of the breakfast is organic and KRAV labelled.
Packed lunch
Our packed lunch is handy to bring on a tour; you make the sandwiches yourself from the breakfast buffet. It also includes something sweet and raisins. Don’t forget your thermos! Fill it with hot chocolate, rosehip soup, blueberry soup or instant coffee. We will give you a paper bag for the packed lunch, you can also use your own lunch box.
Lunch, coffee and something sweet
Lunch, coffee and baked goods can be ordered from 11:00 from reception. We always have a home-cooked meal you can order all day, even for dinner, to eat in the lounge if you don’t want to eat the three-course dinner. The cakes, pastries and biscuits are of course home-made and the coffee is organic. Don’t miss our fruit soup, which is made with a recipe from 1913!
Our classic three-course dinner
Our three-course dinner is a real Blåhammaren classic! It is well renowned and consists of local meat or fish. Our famous three-course dinner with accompanying presentation starts at 18:00 each evening. The dinner must be pre-booked regardless of whether you are staying at the mountain station or in a tent due to limited seating. Up to 7 days in advance, we have a limited number of dinner spots specifically reserved for campers. If available, additional spots may be released 7 days before arrival. We prepare a set menu each evening and you will be seated together with other guests. We are fully licensed and every evening we put together a drinks menu that goes perfectly with the dinner you are eating. The dinner is one of the main reasons guests come to stay with us and must therefore be booked when booking accommodation as there are a limited number of seats.
Special dietary requirements?
Our much-talked-about and well-made food consists of beef from Swedish mountain cows, char, reindeer or moose – all from Jämtland and Härjedalen. If you don’t eat meat or have allergies or special dietary requirements, please mention this when booking so we can make your experience as good as possible. We always prepare food from scratch.
