Train to the mountains
Take the train to the mountains! It's a sustainable and pleasant way to travel. To many of our mountain destinations, you can take the train, combined with a bus to reach the final part of the journey. If you are a member of STF, you also get a discount with several train operators.
In the Swedish mountains, there are several railway stations within walking distance of ski slopes, cross-country trails, and beautiful summer mountains. To some places, you need to travel a bit further with a local bus or transfer. There are many advantages to taking the train to the mountains – but for us, the environmental reason is the most important. As a bonus, those who take the train avoid long stretches behind the wheel. It’s easy to find and plan your train journey via one of STF’s partners.
