Kebnekaise – Guided tour south summit

Climbing Kebnekaise is a dream for many. Join our guides on the western route – an adventure we hope will take you to a new place and towards our shared goal: the southern peak and Sweden’s highest viewpoint.

The western route to the southern peak of Kebnekaise is long and physically demanding. This full-day tour leads through the beautiful Kitteldalen valley, behind the mighty Tuolpagorni, up the summit of Vierranvárri, and down through Kaffedalen before reaching the top.

With a guide by your side, you’ll have the best conditions for a successful summit attempt, without needing to worry about pace, route choices or safety assessments. Our guides assist with the final snow-covered section of the summit to ensure it can be reached safely.

The summit attempt takes about 11 hours, depending on the mountain conditions.

• Age limit: 16 years (accompanied by a guardian).Under 16 requires booking a private guide; minimum age 12.
• To participate, you should be in good physical shape and reasonably accustomed to walking in varied terrain (rocks and snow). No prior climbing or mountain experience is required.
• If you plan to book dinner the day before your guided summit attempt to the Southern Peak we recommend booking dinner at 5:30 PM or 9:00 PM. This is due to the mandatory summit briefing at 8:00 PM.
• IMPORTANT! Mandatory briefing is held the day before your summit attempt (the evening before the date in your booking confirmation/selected date on the website).You must have completed the mandatory briefing to be able to participate in the tour.
