Abisko – STF Aurora Night Visit

The world’s most illuminating experience

Abisko offers some of the best conditions in the world to experience the magical northern lights! Our guides take you to the best viewing spots and share stories about the aurora, Lapland, the Sami people, and the region’s rich culture and traditions.

The evening begins with a two-kilometer chairlift ride up to STF Aurora Sky Station, 900 meters above sea level. Here you’ll find sweeping views, an outdoor terrace, and a cozy café with snacks and drinks. You can join a short mountain walk and listen to a northern lights presentation.

In case of severe weather, the event moves to our fire-lit lavvu (Wooden hut) in the national park. After a short walk to the evening’s best viewing locations, warm drinks and northern delicacies are served, along with stories about nature, the aurora, and Abisko’s history.

• When booking any of our products at STF Aurora Sky Station, we cannot guarantee that you will see the northern lights, as it is a natural phenomenon.u003cbru003eBookings for any of STF’s products at Aurora Sky Station are binding once the cancellation policy comes into effect, and no refunds will be given if the chairlift cannot operate and the event is held in the Lavvu instead.
